Once again the fight for ultimate world domination, braging rights and cookies is on the line, between Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft, of course. I know millions of people around the world have already started topics like these but I want in, so here goes:

- Xbox360 -

It's cute, but I don't se much past that, only a few games caugth my eye (DOA4 ,Sonic, Oblivion, Halo 3, even though I never played Halo, and little more than that). The greatest asset of Microsoft's warbeast is XboxLive, but it might be it's downfall, as I've been hearing it, the games for the 360 are focused very much on online play, and not everybody likes that. Also, even if you buy the cheapest version of the console you still need a HDTV if you want to get the most out of it (or so they say), and adding up the values you get an unatractive price for sure, plus the games aren't cheap either. It can already be seen that the Xbox360 is losing, unless some fantabulastic games come out at the time of the PS3 and Wii release to turn peoples heads I don't see a shiny future.

Best of 360: Online capabilities, good graphics.

Ok, I've never been a Sony fan, that much is true, but my opinion on this isn't based on that. I mean, 600 dollars for a console? Get real, very few people are willing to pay a price like that, those how do are the hardcore Sony fans, so of course the company will profit there, but it will just drive other people away. Customers want more for less. As far as games go it does have some long time fan favorites looking beautiful actually, so it wins there, but after the first wave of great games we'll have to wait a while before another great set of then come out. Also, the controller could use some work, after that boomerang thing backfired hey just stuck with a fancier DualShock, I've read some stuff and opinions split up here, so I just don't know.

Best of PS3: Lot of raw power, many fan favs looking gorgeous.

- Wii -

Many people might not know what to think of this new fangled contraption, but I like what I see. I like strange stuff and Nintendo sure broke the mold with the Wii. It opened up a lot of new gaming possibilities, and of course the Big N's classics made all the fanboys fall in love with the thing. Nintendo is making good use of it's system, but I'm afraid that third parties might not do that so well, or at lest it will take a while to get used to it. It doesn't have all the power that the 360 and the PS3 have, that's true, but from all the screen and videos I've seen I can't say it falls back. It's a console whose objective is to reach out to a wider audience, so naturaly the long time games might look at it with some doubt, but I belive it's doing it's job, people are looking. Nintendo's tradiction is providing fun at a low price, and I think they will manage that perfectly.

Best of Wii: New control system, low price, fan favs.

Personally I rank the consoles thusly: 1ºWii , 2ºPS3, 3ºXbox360. I belive Wii will win by calling a lot of new gamers, the PS3 is well astablished because of it's long time fan base, and the 360 falls a bit back because it doesn't have new stuff to offer.

So there it is, a short entry on stuff I had to get of my back. Don't hurt me.
